The Light Dawned
Last fall we lost a nice cost report client; a small chain of three, as they were acquired by one of the “big four.” Nice people and a nice organization. I was bummed for a while. Then I realized that most of the nice people, at least those in administrative functions, including the CFO would be out of work.
Earlier this year a client closed and all the employees lost their jobs. I was bummed once again but this time for them and not for myself. The light had dawned.
In both of the above the CFO and many of the staff have been looking for work out of their home area and having to consider moving to another state for employment. A bummer.
The light dawned that we should think a moment of how events that affect us may have a bigger effect on others. It changes the “bummer effect.”
